URASHIMA TARO

From East West, a group show organized with two other Japanese painters, and a printmaker who has studied extensively in Japan. My pieces dealt with my personal identiy as a half Japanese, half French American. Urashima Taro is a piece based on the Japanese folk tale of a man, Urashima Taro, who is taken into the sea by a turtle who turns out to be a god and takes Urashima Taro to an underwater kingdom.
